ABOUT ME

Life is strange; you decide you want to be an engineer and pursue it, only to discover that filmmaking and editing are your true passions!

Hello, my name is Jubaer Talukder, I graduated from BUET with a degree in Naval Architecture and am now working full-time in my video production company, Monochrome. I guess you are finding it a bit difficult to match up how I ended up being a filmmaker who had an educational background in engineering.

Let me rewind a bit. In 2015, a freshman in college who was fascinated by the festivities of the institute picked up a camera and started documenting everything that he thought seemed interesting. This hobby evolved into a passion, and he later explored the fascinating field of filmmaking. Fast forward to today, and he is trying to make a living out of the thing he loves.

I can tell you one thing: along this journey, I learned how to think outside the box and that things are not always as they seem. My academic career taught me how to take pressure, meet deadlines, and think critically; my enthusiasm for creating content taught me creative thinking, finding love in work, and how to see things broadly.

I believe that every man is capable of great things; it's just that he has to go through a learning curve. My journey through life just started, and I can't wait to see all the amazing challenges that are yet to come.

Being my own boss allowed me to be creative and to take risks, which ultimately led to the success of the projects I worked on.
